[F.T] Rochor Thai - A taste of Home Recipe Thai Cuisine

Very thankful for the invite by Openrice & Rochor Thai for this food tasting session. I always have a love/hate relationship with Thai Food, I love how they are so flavourful and appetizing, But some dishes can really sweat the hell outta me, because they are too spicy.

Rochor Thai relocated in to the Street of Joo Chiat, alongside with many other yummy food joints, and it's not hard to spot as the whole shop front is painted Orange.

Pandan Lemongrass Drink - Taste like Agar Agar Water, Pandan Infused Lemongrass Drink that will make you want seconds! Unlike the normal lemongrass drinks around, this one is sweeter and more fragrant, lesser on the lemongrass taste which is super suitable for me.

Amouche Bouche - A wonderful mixture of Sweet, Sour, Spicy & Bitter.

Som Tum – Green Papaya Salad Central Thailand Style ($6.80)
A dish that resembles the one in Thailand very much.

Gaeng Kaew Wan Gai - Chef's Special Green Curry with Chicken Thigh and Thai Eggplant
 (S - $11.80, L - $18.80)

Po Taek – Clear Spicy Sour Soup with Holy Basil and Kaffir Lime Leaves (S - $8.80, L - $15.80)
Tom Yum Soups need to be sour and spicy enough to be Good, Rochor Thai's Version will not be sour enough but it is definitely Spicy Enough! Maybe you could highlight to the chef to make it more sour.

Tom Yum Talay – Hot & Spicy Seafood Soup with Thai Herbs (S - $8.80, L - $15.80)

Dry Red Curry Red Snapper ♥ (S - $16.80, L - $24.80)
 MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE DISH!
Fresh and Tender pieces of Red Snapper Fillets, Fried to a crisp and coated with the special Dry Red Curry Paste that is Sweet and Spicy at the same time. This dish will go super well with Rice.

Pla Nin Pao – Salt Baked Whole Tilapia served with Spicy Coriander Sauce ($22.80)
Another Fish Dish, Although salt baked, the fish is still tender and moist and not too salty at all. Accompanied with the spicy coriander sauce, it brings the fish to another level.

Kor Moo Yang – Seared Pork Collar served with Aromatic Dried Chilli Sauce ($12.80)
This dish is sooooo good! Everyone was praising it. Eat it with or without the Dried chilli sauce.

Pad Kee Mao Goong - Stir Fried Thai "Drunken" Style Prawns (S - $16.80, L - $24.80)
Contrary to normal hear-say, Rochor Thai's "Drunken" style prawns are suppose to kick you awake from your drunken state, instead of bringing you in to it. Fresh Succulent Prawn that are tossed with special spicy sauce, I'm sure I will definitely enjoy this with Beer. Oops!

Hoay Lai Pad Prik Pao - Clams Flambe in Chilli Jam and Chef's Stock (S - $14.80, L - $22.80)
I'm usually not a clam kinda person, but the clams Rochor Thai selected was very delectable. Fresh Flower Clams that are not too big and not too small, I couldn't resist having afew more.

Phad Thai Talay  (S - $7.80, L - $14.80)

Khao Niew Ma Muang - Mango Sticky Rice ($7.80)
Sweet Sweet Mango with Warm Sticky Rice, Oh How I miss Thailand.

Tab Tim Grob - Thai Red Ruby ($4.80)
This is one of the better Red Ruby around, enough chewiness of the chestnut accompanied by the coconut milk, topped with Ice, it makes a pretty and cooling dessert.
