The Tiramiso Hero Cafe at 121 Tyrwhitt Road

I went to Tiramisu Hero awhile back and I absolutely love the interior! We didn't get much food there but I definitely had the Tiramisu. Mmmm.. One of the better ones I've had!

A little about Sir Antonio, the Mascot of The Tiramisu Hero:
Sir Antonio was a Roman street cat by birth. Growing up right behind the café that brews the best coffee in the world, Sir Antonio knew his cocoa better than anyone. His story began in an accidental trip to Venice, where he stumbled upon their famous Italian “pick-me-up”.Tiramisu – a blend of cheese, crème and coffee became Sir Antonio’s life mission. He dedicated his life to bringing only the best tiramisu to satiate anyone’s platter, human or feline. He was celebrated for his undying dedication to perfect and share this dessert, which gained him the title as The Tiramisu Hero. From the streets into homes, Sir Antonio, unmistakable with his black cape, mask and a luscious lock of black fur between his ears, has brought this delectable treat into countless homes, filling them with love and impeccable style.

Truffle Eggs Bacon Roll, ChefChef Curry Baked Rice, Waffles Woo with Banana, Mommahero. ♥

I'm definitely heading back to The Tiramisu Hero to explore the many other flavours of Tiramisu they have, and also to visit Sir Antonio too! Their Truffle Bacon & eggs is pretty interesting but I did not taste the truffle, or was I having a blocked nose that day. The Curry Rice was pretty good, definitely not expecting this from them since I feel that they are more of a dessert cafe, never would have expect their curry rice to be pretty good.
I love how cosy the cafe is and I'm happy to have met Peggy of sixpegs.com there too!

[F.T] Miam Miam Westgate Mall - French Japanese Cafe with Perfectly Engineered Meals.

French inspired Japanese Cafe, Miam Miam brings the best out of French Artisanal Cuisine & Techniques and traditional Japanese preparation & cooking arts. We know how to delight you, every step of the way.

I heard that Miam Miam offers 'Perfectly Engineered meals', which basically means that they procedure to prepare all their dishes are the same. For example, each portion of raw pasta weighs at 110g and are then thrown into boiling water and cooked for exactly 7.5 minutes to achieve that exclusive Al Dente texture. Talk about precision, the chefs sure have all their minutes & seconds counted for.

Miam Miam's Hot Coffee is brewed the traditional way; Hand-Dripped from perfectly selected 100% Arabica Beans. The Aroma was fantastic, I had it on its on first, then went on to add some sugar in it. It taste best when hot, be it sweeten or not. The London Fog uses Earl Grey Tea with Steamed milk and homemade vanilla syrup. The subtle sweetness lingers after each sip, Its definitely a ladies favorite.
Hot Coffee - $5.20
Miam Miam Haze a.k.a London Fog - $6.8

The marriage of Japanese & French makes up a beautiful menu at miam miam. With a few pasta selection, Curry Rice and even Squid Ink Rice, it would take you some time to decide. The Riz Au Curry had a pleasant mixture with the Japanese Pearl rice and when Stirred, every single rice is coated with the curry, though only served with 2 Pieces of sausages, this dish is sure to suit any kid's tastebuds.
Miam Miam Capellini - $15.80
Riz Au Curry - $14.80

Homard Bisque, A savoury & rich soup base, slow cooked to perfection, topped with parmesan cheese and a Giant tiger prawn. The sauce felt really soupy, just like how it was described in the menu, the giant tiger prawn wasn't the freshest and overall the dish did not stand out to me at all. On the other hand, The Riz Noir Black Rice, which is Squid Ink Rice with a Fluffly Omelette, Oh the omelette. The black rice had obvious pieces salt granules which I am not sure if it was intentional or what, but when paired with the fluffy omelette, It balances the saltiness.
Homard Bisque - $20.80
Riz Noir Black Rice (Squid Ink Rice) - $17.80

I expected crispy outer layers for the french toast with fluffy and sweet interior but what I felt I got was soggy French Toast with Ice Cream that melts too fast, I'm sorry but... no. The red bean cream was good together with the matcha jelly, Yums! The pancake felt a little too thick for my liking.
Famous French Toast - $9.80
Matcha with red bean cream - $13.80
The chocolate souffle was lacked thickness and was overly sweet. Nothing close to being rich though I was really anticipating so much due to the 'Valrhona chocolate'. Miam Miam's pancakes are thick like what you might get at Mr Bean's but they are much drier and floury? But I prefer this than the Match with Red Bean Cream Pancake, maybe it's because the caramelized banana is so addictive.
Valrhona Chocolate Souffle - $13.80
Caramelised Banana - $13.80

I cannot stop comparing how similar the menu at Miam Miam is that of Hoshino Coffee, Or vice versa. I personally have not tried the latter but what I had at Miam Miam is definitely not all yum yum and maybe they need to spend more time to engineer their recipes. There is of course hits like the Squid Risotto and Miam Miam Haze a.k.a London Fog.

It is not too sweet neither not too sour, I am always on the lookout for the most non-sourish mango dessert I can find, am I the only one?

Surprisingly refreshing dessert. The Lemongrass flavour is not too strong which is to my personal delight. And the cubes of aloe vera and Strawberries adds the sweet factor to this bowl of dessert but not too sweet to make it "gelat"

LadyM Confections at Marina Square Dining Edition

I'm secretly thinking that Singaporean might just love their desserts as much as Chilli Crab and Chicken Rice.
With the wide variety of Dessert places opening in Singapore, It hard to resist stepping into one of them and feast our eyes on the beautifully made desserts which tantalize our taste buds. So I headed down to LadyM's to try out their much raved about Mille Crepe Cake and many other.

By the looks of this cake already tells you how much work is taken to create the cubes and placing them together with the cream and covered with chocolate ganache. Moist cakes in two different chocolatey flavour, White Chocolate and Dark Chocolate, While having their difference, they blend together well and it's a joy for all to taste.

Do not be intimidated by the thick layer of cream on this strawberry short cake, the layers of alternating Strawberries and cake will make up for the cream on top. Strawberries are not exactly the sweetest but not to the extend of being too sour for my liking. Soft Spongy layer of cake is infused with strawberry flavour which made me fall in love with the whole cake although the layer of cream could be lessen.

This Seemingly Normal Mango Tart is more than meets the eye. A Layer of passionfruit custard as base, topped with freshly sliced & diced mangos on a fragrant yet crumbly Tart Base. This is definitely my favourite slice of dessert that night. Just the right amount of sweet and Sour and the smooth custard just makes this dessert a "Black Horse" among all the others .

And the star of LadyM, The Mille Crepe. Each piece of crepe is paper thin & Carefully layered with even amount of cream, VIOLA, The recent craze in the dessert world is born. Although seemingly simple presentation, this crepe cake is sweeping every lady off their feet because of the fragrant crepe layers that is coated with sinful yet enjoyable cream inbetween, keeping the crepe moist at the same time, every mouthful is a delight as the cake slowly melts on the tongue. As I'm typing this I am already missing it..

Be sure to arrive before 8pm if you wish to see a full array of desserts on display as the queue can start to build up after that and the popular desserts might be sold out. I like how LadyM's dining space is clean and clear. Somehow it makes their desserts stand out even more. Its like there is a little splash of colour on each customer's table, making the place more beautiful.
