Don't Tell MaMa Where we going

Recently we found a place well hidden along Tanjong Pagar Road. Don't Tell MAMA is a Korean-Mexican fusion bar which serves really good cocktails and bar bites. 

Pssst... The Shop Manager is Korean!

We were treated to 3 Soju Cocktails - Passion Fruit Sojurita, Lychee Sojurita and Strawberry Sojurita. A whole bottle of Soju is used here, so please drink with caution my friends.

Add some fun to the night with these cute flashy lightbulb drinks. Choose from Non Alcoholic Soda or juices or Alcoholic cocktails.

Nacho Omelette - Beneath a pile of greens and Nacho chips lies a potato omelette which was thick amd juicy. Eat the nacho chips first tho, since it will turn soggy pretty quick.

One of the favourites that night was the Bulgoggi Quesadilla ($12). Perfectly marinate beed wrapped in a crispy shell. We did not even touch the sauces at the side, we loved it the way it is.

Looking extremely great for halloween parties, the Prawn Burrito ($8) is covered with tomato suace and cheese. Upon dissecting, you will realize the good insides. Haha.

Kimchi Fries ($18) & Onion Bomb ($12) My personal favourite that night are these 2 dishes. My first experience with Onion Bomb and i fell in love. Why did I not try this earlier! Great dishes to go with the drinks at DTMM.

For the adventurous, Fried Gizzards is here! Topped with fried garlic to enhance the aroma of the dish, do you like to eat gizzards?

Spicy Lollipop ($8) These are nothing like the real lollipops but they are just as good. These Drumlets are stipped of the meat and combined at the head to achieve this cute appearance. Topped with a sweet & spicy sauce, making it really delicious.

Fried chicken Wings in Korean Soy Sauce is available for order from their sister company, Chicken Up, which is just beside DTMM! Juicy and addictive, I couldn't stop at one.

I'll definitely be back for more good vibes and great food & drinks.

Sum Yi Tai

Celebrated a birthday for a special friend in April but only got to blog about it now. LOL.

Happy Birthday Shareen Hot Mama, woohoo!

We visited Sum Yi Tai on Boon Tat Street for some drinks and girly talks!

Did you know that Sum Yi Tai in Cantonese means Third Wife? I certainly didn't know, HAHAHA.

We booked the Rooftop Bar to enjoy the evening breeze instead of the air conditioned seating downstairs.

Chinese Mojito (Rum, Chrysanthemum, Mint & Lemon) - $21

Golden Dragon (Gin, Lemon & Sugars) - $19

We each ordered a drink and among these, we liked the Golden Dragon best. And we recommend that you consume the Morning After chilled asap! We've had some mixed feelings for My Mistress Cherry as some said it tasted like Cough Medicine.

And of course we had the Bar Tapas. Our favourite of the night was the Wok Fried Carrot cake. The Claypot rice was really good too, so is the Chicken Wings and the Salted Egg yolk fish skin! Haha.

Hits & Miss Here. While I love The Big Breakfast and the Egg Benedict, The Foie Gras was tough and the pancakes lack the aroma to make me want to go for it again. Atmosphere is pretty good, pretty quiet area for a real relaxing brunch.

[F.T] Da Paolo Pizza Bar Weekend Brunch

With Many Different Concept Under It's Name, Da Paolo sure have a wide Range of Customers to Cater to. Under their belt are Gastronomia Da Paolo - A Gourmet Deli Cafe, Da Paolo Bistro Bar - Alfresco Dining & Drinks, Da Paolo Ristorante - Boutique Italian Dining & last but not least Da Paolo Pizza Bar.

I had the pleasure to attend a tasting session with the invite from my dear blogger friend Celes, on a bright and sunny Weekend Morning (What Was I thinking). HAHA! We were invited for a Brunch Tasting therefore we were there quite early and because Da Paolo Pizza Bar is located at Holland Village, I had to wake up EARLY to prepare. LOL! Enough of my ramblings, Overall it was a wonderful experience!

Banana Caramel Smoothie - It Was GOOD!

 Spinach and Parmesan Scrambled Eggs, Portobello Mushroom and Pumpkin Hashbrown.

I love the Pumpkin Hashbrown so much! At first I thought it was 

Caliprawnia - $20

Fresh & Sweet Prawns, accompanied by the soft and creamy Avocado, together with the Cherry Tomatoes, I must say it's enough to fill me up if I had it alone!

The Royal Stack - $19. A stack of Pumpkin Hashbrown, Avocado, Smoked Salmon and Poached Eggs on a bed of rocket salad, It was so good with the Hollandaise sauce although it was a tad watery for me.

Believe it or not, it was my first try at poached eggs and I must say I loved it! Like how i love other Eggy dishes! It's Eggtastic! LOL!

Big Fry Up - $20. A HUGE Platter with everything so sinful. Poached eggs on toast, Grilled Sausages, Tomatoes, Bacon, Mushrooms, Baked Beans and a Cute Hashbrown. They each have their own flavour but what attracted me was the hasbrown. I loved it!

Speciality Bruschetta - $13. Parma Ham & Cheese on a perfectly toasted baguette slice, Oh how yummy and also a alternative to the usual Tomato based Bruschetta! I love this one more!

Goat Cheese Fritters & Capsicum Dip - $15. At first glance, no one would have guessed that this would turn out to be Goat's Cheese. I was anticipating it to be Scallops, lol too shallow. First try at goat cheese and I have a complex feeling inside of me. The taste is really overwhelming but when dipped in with the capsicum dip, it was brought on to another level. Love & Hate for this dish for me.

And I always Say when Desserts Look Pretty, They MIGHT not taste as beautiful. But I was Wrong!

Lemon Curd Pavlova - $12. I love the Tangy Sourish taste of the lemon curd and the special meringue tasting thing was actually a Pavlova, Something new to my food dictionary and I must say the whole dish complemented each other so well, with the berries sprinkled all over & a generous ring of Whipped Cream, it was such a delightful dessert.

Da Paolo's Tiramisu - $13, Supposedly one of the best in Singapore after reading reviews obout it online, But it did not WOW me as I felt that it was a tad sour to my liking. Lacking of the coffee and rum flavour, Im not too sure if the other ladies present had the exact same thought.

Conclusion, I would wake up to head over for a brunch again anytime soon! I love the atmosphere regardless of sitting inside or outside. I might go for other desserts on the menu as well, Im such a Glutton.
