When I was invited to SkinLab medical spa for a facial session, I was really looking forward to it! Me being a lazy women, I always have built up sebum and black/white heads that i do not clear. I only do the basic cleansing which I know is never enough.

I was welcomed warmly by the staff all dressed in white, giving off a very clean and professional feeling. I needed to fill in a form with my details and my facial concerns. And after the consultant spoke to me, we decided to go ahead and try the Salicylic Acid Peel Facial.

So a little about the Salicylic Acid Peel Facial - first word I captured was Acid, so I was like O-O, isn't acid going to ruin my skin? But apparently, SkinLab Medical Spa's Salicylic Acid Peel Facial is the a new generation facial treatment for improving the appearance of the skin. It is a superior exfoliate that improves the appearance of aging and sun-damaged skin, something I believe that most of us Singaporean Women need.

The wasn't a single room available for me, so I was ushered into a couple room and WOW it is so spacious! Very clean and neat, White coloured theme always makes 1 place feel clean and tidy.

My therapist of the day was Tina, She is the gentlest therapist ever!

And also, since I have Oily Skin and have little acne here and there, the Salicylic Acid Peel is a highly effective treatment as it acts an anti-inflammatory with helps to immediately reduce inflammation of the acne. It can help to unclog pores and loosen and lift out blackheads, even out skin tone and prevent future outbreaks. WOW right! It is also effective in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improving overall facial texture because it exfoliates both skin and within pores.

I'm so lucky to be trying this facial!!

Salicylic Acid have different intensity for different results and I was on the 10% intensity because it was my first time. After the acid is applied, there is a tingling sensation that makes the skin with acne parts especially ticklish and makes you soooo wanna scratch but it's perfectly normal as it has it's own anti-inflammatory properties in it.

After the facial, Tina even helped me trim my brows, hehe. Tina told me that Normal cleansing may not be enough to keep your skin clear and bright, but incorporating a Salicylic Acid Peel Facial can help exfoliate your skin and reveal the healthy, new skin underneath. And also, Salicylic acid is one of the most effective ingredients to combat the cause of facial oil, acne and blemishes, as well as providing an excellent rejuvenation addition and alternative to Glycolic.

My Skin feels really cleansed and cleared up. My face looks brighter and a little whiter in my opinion! Apologies for the messy hair but I wanted to show you the immediate after effect of the facial! I'm blown away! First time 1 facial has such immediate results la! WOW!

A Variety of stir fried crabs served in woks to is a pleasure sight to see. Salted Egg, Butter Crab, Black Pepper Crab, Chilli Crab etc.. Note: There is MANTOU for you to dip the chilli crab sauce!!! Although I was highly anticipating the Salted Egg Crab, I was a liitle disappointed with the flour they used to coat the crab and the salted egg factor wasn't strong enough..

My Favourite of the night would be the Heavenly Fragrance Crab(干香螃蟹), Just the right amount of flavour, Savoury and a little Spicy. It was one of those that left an impression that night.

Another Highlight of your experience at Brizo's Crazier abotu Crab Buffet is the cook to order Crab In a Pan! Consisting of a Whole Crab, Prawns, Clams, Black Mussels, Potatoes, Corn & Sausages! You can choose from 3 Different types of sauces, Tomato Base, Creamy Base or Fish Stock Base. Every Order of Crab In A Pan is served with Steak Fries and accompanied with Brizo's Chilli Crab Sauce!

Every Pan is filled with goodies, they come in servings of 2 or 4 pax, So the more people you have, the more variety you can try! My Personal Favourite is the cream base one as it was the tastiest! But all of them are full of flavour, it just depends on what you like actually.

Alfero Artisan Gelato - Even the godfather loves it

Why does Alfero Artisan Gelato not display their flavours? How would I know which flavour to choose? How would I know If I could ask for a sample anot? Many of these thoughts came to my mind when I walk pass Alfero everytime. Why only their shop cover up their ice creams like they are selling Soup instead?

Well, Marco Alfero, founder and owner of Alfero Gelato, came from Turin, Italy to Singapore in October 2009 to deliver us “il paradiso” (“heaven” in Italian). Made using only the finest quality ingredients imported from Italy and other parts of Europe, Alfero Gelato is stored in pozzetto cabinets where exposure to light and air is greatly reduced, thus ensuring the smoothness and quality of the ice cream.

 Marco believes in serving only the best-tasting gelato to his customers, which is why he is the only man in Singapore who keeps his gelato covered while on display (unlike other ice cream cafes which display their products in full glory while compromising on taste and texture of their creams). This brave move and unique concept will certainly delight customers, as the difference is certainly unmistakable and almost impossible to miss.

And here you go, my first cup of Alfero Gelato, Smooth texture and full of flavour. No artificial colourings, you are getting the real colour of the ingredients used in creating the gelato. With ingredients specially sourced from different parts of italy and europe, you can ensure that you are getting every cents worth!

An Affogato means "drowned" in Italian, which is a coffee base beverage where it usually is a scoop of ice cream/gelato paired with a shot of espresso, you then "drown" the scoop of deliciously sweet ice cream with the shot of espresso to achieve another level of flavour. At Alfero Gelato, they recommend the Durian gelato to go with the Espresso shot, a very unique pairing but surprisingly good.

And a visit to any gelato shop will never be complete without ordering a Waffle. Toasty and Fluffy Waffle, topped with freshly made Gelato. My choice of the day was their crowd favourite Bacio and Pistachio. Bacio is the ice cream version of ferror rocher, as explained by the staff, making it irresistible to anyone who is a fan of the nutty, chocolately flavour. The Pistachio Gelato is made from the pistachio that Marco specifically chosen to ensure the premium taste.

I'll definitely be back for more Gelato and only at Alfero Gelato! Their commitment to premium ice cream quality is very attractive,
