Chicken Up latest outlet at Centerpoint + Giveaway!

We all know Chicken Up as the place to go for Korean Fried Chicken and Soju, especially their Watermelon Soju at the Tanjong Pagar outlet. But Chicken Up has arrived at Centerpoint too! Now you can visit for your korean food craving fix!

Together with a few friends, we visited Chicken Up at Centerpoint for some Korean food fix. We had the Ugly Tang, a.k.a Army Stew ($30). Filled with ingredients enough to serve 2, we watch with all eagerness for the soup to boil and the ramen to cook! I LOVE the ramen which soaked up the soup base really well. Also, you can ask the staff to add in more soup for you if it is turning dry. Hehe.

We also had a really instagrammable dish, the Snow Squid Topokki ($39). This portion is huge to serve 2-3 ladies depending on your personal eating habits. Haha. The beautifully fried squid is imported from Korea and it taste really fresh. Perfectly battered squid and the squid comes in rings, so it is easier for you to eat. Do not worry as the staff will provide a table side service to help you with cutting the squid so that it is easier to eat :)

Just a little snack at the side while waiting for the other dishes to arrive, we had the Bulgogi Fries ($18). Served with slices of bulgogi beef and topped with special sauce and mayo, it is a delight to share with friends before you dig in to the main dishes later.

If you wanna have soju and don't wanna get drunk so quickly, try this Grapefruit Sojurita ($20). The sweetness of the grapfruit slushie at the bottom is so delightful that you will forget about the grapefruit soju stuck to it. Pull the bottle of soju up bit by bit to release the soju within to add the alcoholic kick to your drink and slowly enjoy it throughout your meal. No bitter taste at all from this grapefruit soju, SUPER Recommend for ladies!

If you wanna go for something non alcoholic, you can take a look at their wide range of lightbulb drinks menu. From mocktails to smoothies, I'm sure there will be something for everyone.
Here we had: Mango, Strawberry Banana, Blue Lemon, Matcha Latte ($6/each)

Last but not least, it's dessert time to end the meal off on a sweet note, I always believe in this and we had the Watermelon Bingsoo! It is filled with Milk shaved ice, topped with watermelon balls, red bean and a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Cool and refreshing dessert to coll off the heat from the spicy food earlier on.

If you have been following my instagram, the 1 for 1 Bingsoo voucher giveaway has closed.

But not to worry, I have 3 X  4pcs Soya Chicken Wing Vouchers for Giveaway.

Follow these steps to qualify:

The Flying Noodles from HANA Japanese Restaurant

With all the hype around the HANA Flying noodles, we #MCSCBabes had to check it out for ourselves! We made a reservation in advance(thank god) and was in when the restaurant opened! There was a Long snaking queue for those who did not make their reservation, so please remember to make your reservation guys! We first thought that we had to queue to get in despite having a reservation haha.

We first ordered a thirst quencher, the Over the top Apple Cider ($25). An alcoholic slushie with sour candy snakes to get your groove on anytime of the day. *drink in moderation*

Then the star of the day: Flying Truffle Somen ($25) and Flying Salted Egg Skinny Udon ($18).
I personally could not decide which one i liked better. Who would ever knew that Salted Egg and Udon would go together so well. We had to ask for a second serving of the Salted Egg sauce. SHIOOOOOK!

I would recommend that you start with the Salted Egg Yolk Udon first before moving on to the truffle somen as the truffle taste will overwhelm all other flavours. Haha. The truffle somen is a real delight to have as well. Do note that both noodles are served cold, so no rush to consume them. Snap as much photos as you would like first before digging in, but I bet you can't hold out for more than 10minutes. Haha.

Another insta-worth item at HANA would be their grid boxes. You can choose from 3 x 3 or 4 x 3. You get a little of everything and it's great for sharing too! We chose the 4 x 3 grid box ($38) to share and we loved it! Everyone had a enough to go around for 4 ladies. The 3 x 3 option goes for ($28).

I would suggest that you visit them unless you hate to eat cold food, or you dislike japanese food. Otherwise there is no reason for you not to visit! Haha.

Supply & Demand Orchard Gateway

[Food Review]

After hearing the mixed reviews over Supply and Demand for so long, I finally made my way down with my dear Rosental for a weekend lunch date. Forgot to make reservations but luckily got seats for 2! But good thing is that they accept reservations la, so next time you can reserve your seats in advance!

Wanted to opt for healthier option so we both got the Cranberry Juice($4) but abit pricey la hor?

The very popular Garlic Truffle Fries($15) with 2 dips. Damn Shiok man this one! Cannot stop eating this and dipping it the sauces. I was almost half full before my pizza came. Hehe.

We opt for the 9 Inch Pizza and top up $3 for 2 flavours on 1 pizza! We opt for the popular choice "The Morning After" and "Parma Ham"! I love how the pizza has a thin crust but not overly thin you know, still got a little chewiness in it. I love this kind of Crust! The Egg yolk on "The Morning After" is damn shiok when you spread it across the top and savour it. The Parma Ham was just ordinary in my opinion.

Overall my experience at Supply & Demand was pretty good. I would be back to try out the other items if my friends want to head over. Haha. Very nice place to chill out for some drink in the town area after work! :)

Sambal Stingray in Banana Leaf

Black cod Fish Otah
Juicy and not too spicy, I love this one, the pieces of fish were huge in every slice of this Otah, Must Try!!

Nyonya Hokkien Noodles, A darker version of our usual Hokkien Mee, many ingredients and loads of Pork Lard!! Best to eat in small portions to save stomach space for other food!

Nyonya Chap Chye, never a fan of Vegetables, but this chap chye dish was pretty good, sweet cabbage soaked in the delicious stock paired with some vermicelli, a well balanced of texture.

Nyonya Laksa

Prawn Noodle Soup

Beef Cheek Rendang, Tender cut of beef to be cooked in a Rendang way, Definitely tender, Rendang sauce could be more spicy and pack more punch.

{SPS} J Cottz - Special Handmade items you want to own!

With Every Important event comes a dilemma, What to wear?! And for ladies my size, I believe it is hard to get clothes suitable for some occasions sometimes and we would be going through a huge panicky mode and in the end we just grab what ever we deem fit and head out. And I Often Regret being Underdressed and feeling inferior, #suckstobeme. But this year, I was introduced to a shop in TOWN AREA, at *Scape Underground. The Shop is called J Cottz ! YAY! *Throws Confetti*

Pic Credit: Pingerrain.com
Owner Joanna Opened J Cottz not only selling Plus Sized Items, She also sells small sized/free sized clothes for slimmer people and what's special about J Cottz is that Joanna does many Homemade Accessories too, and best of all, they are available for customization and wholesale too! Why not make this a party favour for the ladies instead of a normal cup or card? :)

Joanna brings in unique designs for plus sized and free sized clothes and I was spoilt for choices when I was there. Joanna allows customers to try on the clothes before buying but you have to inform her first ya! :) Let me show you what I got from J Cottz Plus Sized Range!

This Unique Sweet pastel dress caught my eye immediately and I told myself that I must get it! This dress not only has sweet colours on it, the prints are my favourite French Dessert, Macarons! Oh how lovely this dress is and The Material is definitely good, it's thick but not too thick to make me sweat too much in Singapore's weather, and the elastic waist band gives me allowance to eat more CNY Goodies (oops, I should start my diet plan soon). But also, If I slimmed down slowly, I can still wear this dress due to the elastic waist band, so THUMBS UP & MAJOR LOVE for this dress!

The Next Item I chose was more of a CNY Feel + Can Wear to work kind of Long Top which can also wear to go out style. Haha, Versatile piece inded!

The Red Checkered design is bright enough and the black panel detail at the side makes me look *cough* slimmer *cough* And Best of All, it has pockets at the side which allows me to put my handphone and some simple small items inside which I Like because when I'm at work, I always need my phone with me but sometimes my pants has no pockets then I have to hold my phone on my hand and then I cannot do things properly you know? You Know? -catch breath- Haha, You get it la hor? :)

I'm definitely heading back to J Cottz because I heard there are more things coming soon and their Pre-Order is also starting soon! And I can head down with my other friends who are slimmer than me because J Cottz Offers clothes for a wide range of sizes so there will be Something for Everyone!

Be sure to like their Facebook Page - J Cottz for the latest update and also Like my Facebook Page or Add me On Facebook to ask me any questions! :)

[F.T] Triple O's Burger Joint in Orchard Towers

I have not heard of Triple O's Prior to this visit and I was surprised to find out that this was already their 3rd Outlet in Singapore! There wasn't any Rah Rah about their arrival I guess, But Its Worth a Try considering that they are a popular Burger Chain from Vancouver since the 1928!

See, I wasn't lying about the History. And Burger are Made to Order so be warned that it may take up to 10minutes for the wait of your order. But do not be turned off by this as I'm sure you can wait another 10 minutes by catching up with your fellow diners right?

Ice Lemon Tea

Triple O's are very proud of their Smoothies, with flavours like Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry and Bluberry, this is a yummy Ice Cream like texture drink that is just as good as a dessert too.

And What's a Burger Joint without Fries and Onion Rings? Triple O's Sweet Potato fries are one of the Few I have seen in singapore, and it taste Great, dip it in their special Chipotle Mayo for a different experience.
Sweet Potato Fries, Onion Rings, Chicken Tenders

Triple O's Original Burger, Completed with Soft Fluffy Buns, a Beef patty that is a tad dry, saucy sauces on fresh lettuces. The thing about these burger joints from the western countries is that they are never stingy on the sauces! I heard that its more overflow-ish there!

Cod Fish Burger, Moist & Tender Piece of Battered Fish in between fluffy burger buns, Squeeze the lemon for a more refreshing taste. Pair it with the Deep Fried Pickles for more mouth feel.

Visit Triple O's when you are around Town and looking for a Late Night Snack! They Operate Until 5am!
Now I know where to get my hunger fix when I'm shopping till late at night in Orchard! :)
