Cedele by Bakery Depot - Eat Well Be Well

*Sponsored*

At Cedele, they offer classic comfort food with a creative twist, blending traditional foods with flavours from our culinary roots for delicious cross-cultural dishes. With their extensive bakery selection as well as the various outlets, some with All-day-dining options that serve starters, mains, desserts and artisan coffee & tea options.

I visited the Wheelock All Day Dining Branch one fine evening to try out their all day breakfast! This outlet has a baked good section as well as homemade items like Jams and Chips. They even have the Chinese New Year Goodies displayed as well!

I was seated in the restaurant for a good 20 minutes while waiting for my friend to arrive and I was not served a glass of water at all. So I thought that maybe we had to order stuffs first before getting served drinks, so I waited for my friend to arrive, ordered. Still no water served. You may say that I'm kicking a fuss over this but why does every table occupied in the restaurant has water being served except mine? I had to request for the water. What is this?

Tea Lovers Rejoice! Cedele serves Caffine Free Wellness Teas!

Just like the Wolfberry Longan, It contains Longan with wolfberries & Red Dates, sweetened with organic unrefined sugar, is a very good blood purifier that can also improve eyesight & enhances the immune system. It's a recipe that we can all try at home for a better health!
The Earl Grey Lavender - Ceylon, Oolong and Darjeeling estate tea leaves delicately infused with oil of bergamot and combined with blue lavender. Perfect for a morning pick-me-up ot as a late afternoon treat. Pictured is only a cup because it was complimentary from the Big Breakfast Set ordered.
Wolfberry Longan ($5.80 per pot)
Earl Grey Lavander Tea ($5.80 Per Pot)

Patty Cakes consist of Crab Scallion and Spiced moist Chermoulah Chicken, served with Citrus Lime Sauce. I personally prefered the Crab Scallion as it was more juicy and flavourful, the spiced chermoulah chicken patty was not as juicy however.
Patty Cakes ($10.00)

When I saw the Chilli Crab Pasta on the menu, I had to order it because the Singaporean in me was screaming for it. Crabmeat cooked with Red Chilli Tomato Sauce, finish with spiced Soft Shell Crab. The first plate came to me where the pasta was not cook thoroughly, a little surprised, I sent it back to the kitchen. 2nd plate came, pasta was more cooked but to me it still was a little tough, maybe it's because I like my pasta softer. The aroma of the chilli crab was pretty strong but the taste did not manage to match up to the aroma. Maybe it was my pasta choice.. just maybe..
Chilli Crab Pasta ($17.50)

I love Breakfast for Dinner. Cedele's Big Breakfast Set was a hearty one. Consisting of Brioche, Bacon Rashers, Sausages, Scrambled Eggs, Mushrooms & Tomatoes. With a Choice of Long Black or Tea. My favourite on the plate would have to be the scrambled eggs, they are done just the way I like them, fluffy and a little creamy.
Big Breakfast Set ($18.80)

And what's a meal without desserts right? Caramel + Sea Salt + Cheesecake = YES PLEASE! A very smooth Cheesecake with Toffee Sweet & Salty Combination, perfect for those who are afraid that cheesecakes are too sweet, this one's for you! The Apple Cinnamon Pancake Fell short as it wasn't fluffy enough and the cinnamon apples were not mushy enough. The scoop of their home made ice cream did make it all better though. :)
Apple Cinnamon Pancake with Ice Cream ($10.20 Single Scoop / $13.30 Double Scoop).
Caramel Sea Salt Cheesecake ($6.50/ Slice)

Spicy Thai - Thai Cafe

*Sponsored*

With everyone Cafe Hopping here and there, I've also come to realize that we have more and more Thai Food Joints opening up, serving Mookata and Authentic Thai Style Tze char dishes. I always have a craving for thai food every few months. Makes me miss Bangkok everytime.

Spicy Thai-Thai Cafe was founded by homegrown businessman, Ron Poh five years ago. It started with the passion of seeking real authentic Thai food. Ron was an engineer by training and owns another business in the Telecommunications Engineering industry. He has an unexplainable affinity with anything Thai, from culture to food. If you are one avid fan of Thai food, you’ll be happy that someone is doing it the real authentic way right here in the heart of Singapore; from using charcoal for soup and steamed dishes to maintain heat consistency and quality, importing tea leaves from Thailand for the signature Thai Iced Tea, different own-made dressings for different dishes, to desserts made from scratch, or even customized dishes... and this is exactly the authenticity Ron wants to bring across as the brand personality and offerings of Spicy Thai-Thai Cafe.

If you are looking for a classic meal of Thai cuisine that delivers on taste and won’t break the bank, Spicy Thai-Thai Cafe is the right place for you. The cafe is decked out in a comfortable non-intimidating Thai decor, with ornate patterns, bouquets of flowers and ceiling fans whirling. The cafe looks out onto the lush greenery and a quaint garden. Savour authentic Thai cuisine with laid-back atmosphere, and enjoy them so much that your taste buds sing!

Iced Thai Tea($2.00) & Ice Lemongrass($1.80) is the most common drink choice for my friends and family, haha! The Thai Ice tea is so addictive with its aroma but the lemongrass can put out the fire in my mouth when I start my feast. Oh.. Dilemma!

Thai food can't do without pork, herbs, seafood and Chilli in my humble opinion! I personally take pork very seriously because if not handled well or otherwise, pork can turn into a disaster dish. But no worries at Spicy Thai, Their BBQ Pork Neck is so fragrant and tender, we could not stop going for it. It's a little sweet, a little smokey, similar to what we chinese call the charsiew.
BBQ Pork Neck $10
BBQ Chicken Wings $6 (4pcs) / $9 (6pcs)

Seafood is always a highlight at any Thai Restaurant/Eatery. Ranging From Shellfish to fresh water fish, you can have a wide range of options to choose from. Thai Cuisine also love to use basil in their cooking because it has a very special aroma which makes it really tasty. Just like the Basil Mussels, Fragrant and slightly spicy, and you can still taste the freshness of the mussels! Their Prawn Cakes were Juicy and Plump. Generous with the prawns, less flour or what not, makes my $2 per piece feel so worth it.
Basil Mussels $15
Prawn Cake $2 per pc
Deep Fried Kang Kong with Special Thai Sauce $10

I love eggs, Fried, Steamed, Half Boiled etc. Spicy Thai's Dill Pattie Omelette will definitely make heads turn with its aromatic fragrance from the use of Dill. My fellow diners were praising it and could not resist going for more! Another variation would be the Water-fry egg. I do not know how they did it but it's so yummy and I'm sure it would be great for the kids! The Crispy Sun-Dried Fish is a great contrast to the soft water-fry egg, but when you eat them together, it brings out the aroma of the sun-dried fish and makes it really pleasant to the palate.
Dill Pattie (Cha Om) Omelette $8
Water-fry Egg with Thai Style Crispy Sun-dried Fish $12

I would like to recommend the La La Bee Hoon, Full of sweetness from the Fresh Clams and the peppery kick from the white pepper used is enough to make you addicted! I can't take spicy food well but I couldn't resist going for more of this dish! The La La is more than bee hoon Lor I think, So generous!
Lala (Clams) Bee Hoon $18

While the Red Emperor Snapper was very rich and full of flavour and mouthfeel, the Thai Walking Catfish won my heart in every possible way. From the spicy lemon soup to the super tender flesh. I've never ever dared to try catfish despite see-ing it in many restaurants because I was afraid of the muddy taste of a freshwater fish, but the Catfish at Spicy Thai made me want to explore more variations of the catfish now!
Red Emperor Snapper with Chilli Garlic $Seasonal Price
Thai Walking Cat Fish with Spicy Lemon Soup $28

Thai Desserts are so simple yet so delicious. Just like the Sticky Glutinous Rice with Mango, 3 simple ingredients, 1 wonderful dessert, though I feel that the Glutinous Rice could been done better. A comforting dessert would be the Tapioca in coconut milk, warm and sweet, Mmmmm.
Sticky Glutinous Rice with Mango $6
Tapioca in Coconut Milk $3.50

Beautifully Coloured Chestnuts enclosed in a layer of potato flour to have that shiny outer layer. The Thai Red Ruby paired with some sugar syrup and Coconut milk, served Iced Cold for maximum enjoyment. Best way to chill down on a hot day in our sunny singapore would be to chow down on the Lemongrass Jelly with Aloe Vera Cubes & Calamansi served ice cold, Perfect Combination to cool you down after all the fiery exciting thai dishes.
Thai Red Ruby $3.50
Lemongrass Jelly with Aloe Vera Cubes & Calamansi $2.50

Have you started to think about your reunion dinner plans? Why not head over to Spicy Thai to have a slightly different cuisine for Reunion Dinner this year. Or maybe a reunion dinner with your friends this year. Haha, Check out Spicy Thai's New Year Offerings!

Cheers To a Happy New Year everyone and a boutiful Lunar New Year!

Pince & Pints with #barcodespricetag

Finally made it to Pince & Pints with #barcodespricetag. Lobster Rolls have been such a hype for the past year that we had to try out one of the most expensive one!! At $48++ for every type of item in the menu, Pince & Pints doesn't disappoint and you will definitely feel that your money is worth it! Though I would seriously consider going early or real late or in small groups so that you will get a seat soon as they DO NOT take reservations.

Blurry group photo to start the night, we were all so hungry!!! Can you recognize who is who? :x

Lobster Roll - Mesclun Salad, Sour cherry & Balsamic Dressing accompanied with Shoe String Fries. Juicy and Chunky Pieces of Lobster Meat tossed in Mayonnaise, served on the Fluffy yet crispy butter fried bun. It was so good I had to share it with everyone on the table!! There was only "OMG IT'S SO NICE!"

Steamed Whole Live Lobster for those who wants the Au Natural Sweetness of the Lobster. Juicy meat paired with a side of salad and show string fries and buttery sauce! Grilled Whole Live Lobster has the slight charred aroma which makes it really addictive!! Meat is less juicy but still as chewy and delicious!!

1 Word to describe this Chilli Lobster would be - Tomatoish (is there such a word?) Slight Tinge of spiciness could be tasted but it did not dampen our mood to dip the fluffy deep fried mantou into the eggy sauce!

It was an awesome night with #barcodespricetag (inside joke) and we will look forward to more foodie meet-ups in 2015!! We will always be the most noisy group of girls in the restaurant. Hahahaha!

COUNTDOWN TO 2015 with Siloso Beach Party!

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyya Everyone! Hows 2015 So Far? I started 2015 with something new.. Clubbing my night away at the Siloso Beach Party!! Wooooohooooo! Thank you SPRG for the invite the Asia's Largest Beach Countdown!!! Here's my make up of the night. Sporting the bright lippie is a must right??
Eyeliner- K-Palette 24Hr lasting eyeliner, Lip - Maybelline Lip Polish Glam 12

Met Ed at Vivo for dinner first and shopped around while waiting for Tiffany to arrive to go in together! When we were inside, it was already 1130!! We rushed to the main arena to join everyone for the countdown and to see the fireworks!!

Headlining the party was one of DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs, Zurich-raised DJ Mike Candys together with other international and local disc jockeys including DJ Shy, DJ Tinc, DJ Jensen, and DJ Jenni-F. Across the sandy beach spanning 1.2 kilometres, seven stages and acontinuous line-up of DJs kept the energy at an all-time high with smooth transitions from trance, electric, house, trap and other genres of music to remixes that left the crowd cheering for more.

Check out the New Year Fireworks which was MORE THAN 2 minutes!!

My Companions of the night, although Tiffany left around 1plus! I seriously recommend everyone to attend this countdown party at least once in your lifetime! Feel the vibes and the cheers and the passion radiating off everyone!! Scream along, dance along, drink together.. Get High together!!
Ed, Me, Tiffany!

The Famous Foam Pool Which alot of people enjoyed.. I did not bring an extra set of clothes, so I did not go in, though I did stand by the side and see people enjoy themselves! :) I'm actually regretting a little for not stepping in!! I will NEXT YEAR!! PROMISE!!!

After that, we headed to check out the different clubs that were all free for all to enter that day! My first time in clubs in SENTOSA!!!! -SCREAMSSSSSS- I went to all 5 different party zones but I personally love Azzura and the Main arena the most! I'm definitely a awkward penguin when it comes to dancing in a club but a little alcohol helped with the groove. Hahahaha! I love it!
Azzura
Wavehouse

I even stayed till 4AM to catch a Glimpse of Famous Local DJ, DJ TINC - She's Beautiful & Talented and so Attractive!!  But after that I cannot already.. Alcohol effect wears off, Sleepiness kicks in.. Time to head home.
Main Arena
But how the heck do you get out of Sentosa at 4.30AM in the morning? You walk your way out! Hahaha! I'm so blessed to have Ed with me throughout the night, protecting me like a princess, making feel things I've never felt before in my previous relationships. With him by my side, everything seems to be less scary. The dark and winding road that we need to walk in order to get out was nothing but scary if I were to take it alone, but thankful there's Ed, holding my hand tight and guiding me through..

I wish you, yes the one reading this post now, to have a awesome 2015 and to be able to feel loved and happiness from everyone around you. Dump those negative energy aside and just enjoy the moment, irregardless of what it is.. It may be eating your favorite artery clogging Double Mac Spicy with Upsized Fries & Coca-cola or trying out something new like bungee jumping? Lets make 2015 a greater one and Thank you for supporting my humble blog, I will work harder to share more things with all of you!
